Tick value

The dollar change per one-tick move in a futures contract.

A tick is the smallest price increment a contract trades in, and the tick value is what that increment is worth. An ES tick is 0.25 points = $12.50; an MES tick is $1.25.

Tick value is the bridge between a stop in ticks and a stop in dollars, which is why it sits at the centre of any futures position-size calculation.
